The three-day training program entitled "Unlocking the Value: Scientific Honey Testing and Its Vital Role in Beekeeping" took place under the SCSP Scheme from March 20–22 2024. The program aimed to provide valuable insights and knowledge to farmers in the field of beekeeping. The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Vishambhar Dayal, a Scientist, who set the tone for the training. Dr. Alok Gupta, another Scientist, delivered a presentation focusing on the successful rearing of honey bees, honey production, and the significance of beekeeping as a sustainable source of income. Following this, Dr. Ningthoujam Samarendra Singh, also a Scientist, provided an informative lecture on the fundamentals of scientific honey testing, shedding light on essential techniques and procedures. An enriching aspect of the program was the participation of Mr. OP Mauryan, a farmer, who shared valuable insights and practical experiences related to honey bee rearing and production. His contributions added a practical perspective to the theoretical knowledge imparted during the training sessions. Overall, the training program saw active participation from farmers, who benefited from the expertise shared by the esteemed speakers and gained valuable insights into enhancing their beekeeping practices for improved productivity and sustainability.
